As a businesswoman, she worked for Mars, Incorporated for 30 years, becoming Executive Vice President in 2012.
Margaret was born in Plascoch, Dolanog, and has lived there most of her life! She was educated at Pontrobert Primary School and Caereinion High School. Following her graduation in Medicine at Cardiff in 1980, Margaret worked as a GP in Newtown for 33 years. She serves on the Governing Board of Ysgol Gymraeg Welshpool and Ysgol Bro Caere

Margaret is the long standing secretary of the Montgomeryshire Society and organises the programme of events and administers the membership. Margaret is a retired teacher.
